I am an educator who cares deeply about children's success, engagement in learning, creativity, and sense of wonder. I want to empower students to learn how to learn on their own, to care about others and the world around them, and to know their own value and worth.

I studied geology and biology at Brown University as an undergraduate. I have my Master's in Education from Smith College and am certified as an elementary teacher in Massachusetts.

I have been teaching for over fifteen years with students from age 6 through 24, in the classroom, in the forest, and one on one. For the past several years, I have taught elementary school, as a sixth grade teacher in in Colrain and a third grade teacher in Easthampton. I have also taught first, second, and fifth grades. Additionally, I have worked as an environmental education teacher and administrator and as a counselor for youth with mental illness.

When I am not working, I enjoy hiking, running, biking, swimming, drawing, and reading.
